Emerging and Responding

Friday, May 10, 5:00-7:00 pm is the Opening Reception for Emerging 2019 at Gallery 224. Exhibition features the Port Washington High School Studio Art Class, and runs through May 18.

Saturday, May 11, 11:00 am join us at Gallery 224 to celebrate the launch of the new book Responding: A Conversation in Color. This book emerged from the Gallery 224 exhibition of the same name and the ten local poets who were invited to respond to it.

Saturday, May 18, is the opening day for Discovering Port En Plein Air. Paint the many and varied scenic views of Port Washington at your convenience over the course of ten weeks or join us during four special meet-up dates to paint with guest artists. Register at the link to have your artwork included in an exhibition at Gallery 224 in August.

Sunday, May 19, ARTservancy artist Nicole Shaver will lead a printing activity at World Migratory Bird Day at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve. Six other artists will be present with information about ARTservancy and this exciting new partnership with the Ozaukee Washington County Land Trust.                                                                                         

Sunday, May 26, Noon-5:00, join us at the Annual Community Street Festival in Port Washington. People are invited to print their own shirts and make art at the Arts Council.

Thursday, June 6, 4:00-6:00, join us for the Opening Reception for the Arts Council! All are invited to welcome Pamela Hugdahl, Administrative Director to her new position in our new location at 303 N Franklin Street in Port Washington.

Photo Book Conversation meets the first Monday evening of every month from 6:30-8:30. This is an informal gathering at Studio 224 where people are invited to show up with a favorite photo book or two to share with the group.
